Max-A-Million

Our Newest Mineral Supplement

Max-A-Million

Its amazing that sometimes the best products are the least expensive ones. This is the case with Max-A-Million the all natural “Fielding Mix” containing essential and trace minerals. The thing is, the birds just love it. Depending on their current essential and trace minerals levels, the first time you give it to them, they often feast on it, so be careful to limit their intake over the first few days as their bodies adjust to this rich source of organically derived mineral supplement.

Minerals are as important, if not more important, than vitamins. Minerals are co-enzymes which help vitamins function. In the absence of minerals, vitamins can't do their job. Many minerals are referred to as trace minerals, which might make it seem as though they are of little importance, but nothing could be further from the truth. Minerals and their deficiencies have been implicated in a wide range of health conditions.

Very many of the processes that go on inside of our birds require the differential of the electrical charge available in minerals to energize biochemical processes and to pump cell nutrients from the blood into the cells. There are hundreds if not thousands of enzyme processes which take place in the body. Each enzymatic process requires specific minerals in a specific ionic (cation or anion) state, in order to energize their biochemical processes.

Usually, it is the bacteria in the gut of our birds that breaks down all the nutrients the birds eat, separating out the bad or useless stuff to be passed out of the digestive tract in the fecal matter, and processing the good stuff through a filtering process which refines it of any toxicity, and then allows this purified nutrient source to pass through the epithelial layer of the gut lining and into the blood stream to nourish the rest of the body.

Minerals normally given to our birds are in an inorganic state and as such are very inefficient at passing through the gut lining and into the blood stream. The bacteria of the gut will break down the chemical bonds of the minerals to individual atoms and then bind these atoms to specific ligands (usually an amino acid or other organic compound).

The ligands serve as sequestering agents that isolates individual atoms and assists in passing these single mineral atoms through the epithelial layer of the gut and into the bloodstream. The epithelial protective barrier is more accepting of the organic material of the ligand, then it is of a pure mineral atom trying to pass through the barrier on its own. So the ligand acts as a cloak, assisting these single mineral atoms through the epithelial layer and greatly increasing the absorption rate of these minerals into the bloodstream. Unfortunately, sixty years of antibiotic abuse in our birds, has severely altered their bacterial makeup. The diversity of the bacteria found in our birds today and their populations are not equal to the diversity and population mix of the pre-antibiotic era racing pigeon. Antibiotic abuse has altered the bacterial landscape and as such the capabilities of the digestive tract to efficiently assimilate nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

The racing pigeons of today, do not have the same mix of bacteria strains that they did sixty years ago. The constant cycling of antibiotics and medications, has disrupted the normal populations of bacteria. Normally, it takes about two months for the flora in a racing pigeon to recover from a single course of antibiotics. What happens when you use an antibiotic is that opportunistic bacteria that are not affected by the particular antibiotic being used, take over areas in the digestive tract that was originally occupied by the bacteria that was killed off by the antibiotic.

Not all strains of bacteria are equally susceptible to an antibiotic. Those the most susceptible, are hardest hit and the last to recover. If another course of antibiotic is given before the original populations are restored to their original state, then more prolonged damage is done to the diversity of the bacteria found in the gut. Over the years, antibiotics has screened out many useful bacterial strains that eons of natural selection had grouped together in their proper populations for the good of the host.

The good news is that the minerals we use in Max-A-Million, are derived from ancient sea beds, where for millions of years plankton and diatoms have absorbed and converted hard to assimilate inorganic minerals into naturally chelated (organically bound) minerals, which are easy for the body to assimilate. When these plankton and diatoms died, their mineral rich skeletons settled to the sea bottom where a layer builds up. If there are deep springs feeding the waters with deep earth minerals (often the trace minerals) or if ash from deep earth (essential and trace mineral rich) volcanic activity, settles these minerals in the waters, then the resulting ancient sea beds are rich with a vast diversity of minerals, plankton, diatoms and plant material.

Finally, something unique needs to happen, the whole sea bed needs to be encased in a lava flow or buried under a heavy layer or volcanic ash. This hard surface layer of volcanic material seals the layer of organic mineral rich plankton and diatoms, along with organic ligands (amino acids, organic acids, etc.) silt and plant material. So, this rich layer of organically derived minerals, remains safe, hidden and sealed from environmental conditions on the surface of the earth.

Usually, buried hundreds if not thousands of feet below the earth's surface, these ancient unpolluted deposits remain intact until some tectonic activity pushes them to the surface.

Usually, this material is mined and shipped off to manufactures who strip out the minerals and sell their products as liquid colloidal minerals. However, these manufacturing processes throw away all the organic material in these rich ancient sea beds except for the processed minerals, and a great deal of nutrient rich organic matter with wonderful healing properties is lost.

Max-A-Million, is the original ancient seabed organic materials, just the way nature produced it. This is the best way to give minerals and trace minerals to your birds. And, it includes all the wonderful substances and nutrients stripped out by the liquid colloidal mineral manufacturers, substances and nutrients that promote health in the digestive track, removes toxins, helps to neutralize pathogenic outbreaks, and encourages growth, strong bone structure, better egg shell development and silky feathering.

The product is called Max-A-Million, because it gives your birds maximum mineral assimilation and has maybe a million other benefits, most of which we are not even aware of, but which nature placed in this unique natural product. That is why the birds enjoy consuming it, their bodies know what they need and Max-A-Million delivers it to them.

Since there is organic material in Max-A-Million, like silt, humus and clay particles, you should refrain from giving it when you are giving medications. Use Max-A-Million on days that you are not medicating your birds.

Using Max-A-Million, will reduce dependency upon antibiotics and medications, as it has many health benefits that encourage a diversity of life sustaining bacteria in the digestive tract.
